On-Site Resources
ATM Machines/Banking: Two Automatic Teller Machines are located in Montefiore's East Gun Hill Lobby. A Citibank and Chase are located around the corner from the hospital on Jerome Avenue. A check-cashing office is located across the street from Montefiore on the corner of East Gun Hill Road and Jerome Avenue.
Mail Services: A U.S. Postal Service Postage Stamp machine is located in Montefiore's East Gun Hill lobby entrance. A U.S. Mail Box is located in the East 210th Street lobby at Montefiore. Mail is picked up twice a day Monday through Friday. For overnight/express mail services, please ask one of the unit secretaries.
Gift Shop: The CHAM Gift Shop is located on the Lobby Level, and has a selection of games, cards, toys, stuffed animals, and a variety of novelty items for children of all ages. Hours are 10:00 am to 5:30 pm on weekdays and 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on weekends.
Library: Montefiore's medical library is located in the Tishman Learning Center near the East Gun Hill Road lobby entrance. The Suzanne Pincus Family Learning Place is located in the main lobby of The Children's Hospital.
TVs: Each of our patient rooms has a color television and a remote control to change the channels. You will find the weekly TV Guide in your child's information package.
Guest Trays: Family members should let a hospital staff member know if they plan to have a meal with a patient in his or her room.
Telephones: The telephones in patient rooms are for local calls, 24 hours a day at no charge. Dial 9 before the phone number to be called. Long distance calls can be made by dialing, 9, 1, the area code, and then the phone number.
Taxi Service: Taxi service can be arranged by using one of the beige telephones in the public telephone area and dialing 7005.
