Patient rooms at The Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) are spacious and decorated in bright, cheerful themes — animals, fish, insects, flowers — designed to engage and calm children.  

Bedside computers:
All patient rooms are equipped with 42 inch plasma screen televisions and bedside computers for access to The Carl Sagan Discovery Program.

This science and learning program has a wide variety of specially designed educational and entertainment programming, music, videos and games, as well as access to appropriate Internet sites.

Children can also keep up with their schoolwork via computer. 

Overnight sleeping accommodation for parents and caregivers:
Each room is equipped with a comfortable pull-out sleeper couch and private shower rooms. Towels are available from the nurses.

Telephones:
Local calls are free. Incoming calls are accepted from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. No calls are accepted after 9:00 pm to help ensure quiet.
