Teens on Kidney Dialysis

When your kidneys fail, the only way to stay alive is to have a dialysis machine take over their function.  But it’s not an easy task – the process takes hours, and becomes a central part of your life.   Join host Dr. Winnie King as we meet an extraordinary group of teens who spend three afternoons a week in the pediatric dialysis unit at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, and find out how they support each other through the ups and downs of this serious chronic illness.
