Mary Ellen Hoehn, M.D. was born in Nashville, Tennessee.  After receiving her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, she went to the University of Tennessee Medical School.  On completing her residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Tennessee, she and her husband moved to New York.  She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital.  Dr. Hoehn has been in practice at Montefiore since July, 2002.
