Why You Should Support the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore

Montefiore is a leading medical institution serving the greater New York metropolitan area, with nationally-renowned doctors providing clinical expertise to those in need.

As a nonprofit medical center, Montefiore treats all of the patients under our care, many of whom face financial challenges in receiving adequate healthcare services.

In 2012, Children’s Hospital at Montefiore treated close to 200,000 adolescents through inpatient, outpatient, clinics and dentistry programs.

As the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore trains approximately 1,200 physicians each year, more than almost any other center in the United States.

Our research facilities use cutting-edge technology to drive scientific discovery, conducting an average of 600 clinical trials annually. We are in relentless pursuit of better treatments and cures for a wide variety of diseases and ailments.

In addition to the work being done onsite, Montefiore oversees and participates in a variety of health initiatives to engage our neighbors in the communities in which we live, work and play. Montefiore's School Health Program provides comprehensive primary, preventive and continuing healthcare to 27,000 elementary, middle and high school students who access these services more than 70,000 times each year.
